Paper Submission

Firm final paper upload deadline: September 29

Paper and invited session proposal submission closed on July 14.

Authors are invited to submit contributions to ACD 2019. Two types of papers are welcome:

  • full papers - reporting novel contribution in the advanced control and diagnosis areas;
  • short papers - presenting recent ideas, open problems, and on-going work.

By uploading their manuscript, the authors certify that:

i) the submission represents original work that neither has appeared or has been accepted to appear elsewhere for publication, nor is simultaneously under review for another publication in its current form (all submissions will undergo a plagiarism-detection check);

ii) at least one of the authors for each accepted paper will register to the conference before the final submission deadline (22 September 2019) and attend the conference to present the work

All submitted papers will be peer-reviewed by at least three independent reviewers.

All the accepted and presented papers will appear online in a volume of the Springer series "Lecture Notes in Control and Information Sciences - Proceedings".

Authors are required to follow the guidelines and to use the templates/style files available at the web page Information for Authors of Springer Proceedings (for the prospective authors' convenience, these files are also downloadable from the Document section of this page).

As to paper length, please refer to Springer Proceedings format (see below) and note that, according to Springer Publishing Policy, "the most common types of papers accepted for publication are full papers (10 to 20 pages) and short papers (6 to 9 pages), where a page constitutes 300-400 words. Very short papers (of fewer than 6 pages) may be moved to the back matter. Such papers will neither be available for indexing nor visible as individual papers on SpringerLink. They will, however, be listed in the Table of Contents.”

Final accepted papers exceeding 20 pages will be included in the proceedings upon payment of over-length page charges for each page in excess of 20, up to a maximum of two additional pages. The over-length page charge will be of 100 euro per page.

Publication of accepted manuscripts in the proceedings is also subject to signing and returning the Contributor Consent to Publish which can be dowloaded from the Document Section at the bottom of this page.
