EARIE 2020 Online – Conference Registration


The EARIE 2020 Online conference registration is open to all and is free of charge – although links to connect to the virtual conference will be accessible only to registered participants as based on the online Programme. The organizers must know in advance how many participants will attend each keynote and invited session – so please complete & submit the online Registration Form specifying your preferences as soon as possible and by 25th August 12:00 noon CEST at the latest

This year the virtual EARIE 2020 Online conference is offered free of charge to all interested participants; however, the survival of EARIE as a professional association depends on its members! If you would like to renew or become an EARIE member for 2020 and/or 2021, you can do so by purchasing membership online (€50 per year). Paper submission


Academic, government and business economists and professionals working on industrial organization and related fields are invited to submit theoretical and empirical papers for presentation at EARIE 2020.

Submission Details

All interested researchers are invited to submit their papers for potential presentation at EARIE 2020, starting from 31 January 2020 until 17 March 2020 (12:00 noon CET). The submission deadline has been extended to March 31 (12:00 noon CET).

Note: EARIE 2020 papers must conform to the submission guidelines posted on the conference website and be uploaded online as PDF (Portable Document Format) files, using the dedicated Conference Maker link only – no other file formats or delivery modes will be considered. You can only submit and present one paper.

Decision notifications of paper acceptances for EARIE 2020 Bologna will be delivered via e-mail by 14 May 2020.

Submission guidelines

Before submitting a paper, submitters must create a profile on Conference Maker. The following information should be included in the submitter's profile and on the submission form:

  • Name and institutional affiliation of the presenter and of all co-authors
  • Title of the paper
  • Address and email address of the presenter
  • Abstract of the paper of no more than 100 words
  • Up to six JEL codes
  • Up to six free keywords
  • Field/research topic that best matches the paper (to be selected from a list)
  • Member of the scientific committee whom you would like to have as a reviewer for your paper (the list of the members of the scientific committee is provided in Conference Maker)


  • Papers can only be submitted electronically using the Conference Maker submission software.
  • Only PDF files will be accepted as electronic format.
  • Presenters must register by 16 June 2020, otherwise their paper will not be included in the final program. Should you be unable to attend EARIE 2020, but a co-author is able to present the paper, please inform the scientific committee chair via email at  before 16 June 2020.
