Andi Duqi is an Associate Professor in Banking and Finance at the University of Bologna. From 2013 to 2018 he was appointed as Assistant Professor of Banking and Finance at the University of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. His research focuses mainly on banking performance, banking efficiency, dividend policy, banking competition, microfinance and social impact finance. Andi Duqi obtained a Ph.D in Financial Markets and Intermediaries from the University of Bologna in 2012 and he was a post-doc researcher at the same University in 2012-2013. He has been a visiting research fellow at the Bangor Business School and Nottingham Business School, United Kingdom.

Giovanni is assistant professor in Economics of Financial Intermediation at the University of Bologna. His interests of research are related to several areas of banking and finance: the impact of government monitoring on banks, the impact of IFRS on European capital markets, implications of financial networks for systemic risk, the impact of monetary policies, the evaluation of the effects of corporate governance mechanisms on bank performance and policies, and sustainable finance. He has published in leading international finance and management journals, such as Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Financial Stability, and Business Strategy and the Environment.

He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Bologna. In the past, he also served as Research fellow at Aston University (England) and at the University of Nottingham (England), and Teaching Associate at the University of Amsterdam (Netherlands). He was one of the founders of the South Guys ltd., supported by the European Commission, and a scientific consultant for ABIFormazione.

Salvatore Perdichizzi

Salvatore Perdichizzi is an assistant professor in Economics of Financial Intermediation at the University of Bologna. His research interests cover monetary policy and empirical banking, with a focus on the effectiveness of unconventional and conventional monetary policies on economic development, financial markets and banking stability, green and sustainable finance, bank lending conditions, bank risk-shifting through dividend and share-repurchase, bank performance, credit and sovereign debt dynamics. He has published in leading international journals, such as Industrial and Corporate Change, Journal of International Financial Management & Accounting, and Manchester School.

He holds a PhD in Economics (DEFAP) from the University of Milan - Bicocca and Catholic University of Sacred Heart - Milan. He is Research Associate at the Yunus Social Business Centre of Bologna. He also served as a Research fellow at the University of Exeter Business School (England) and Catholic University of Sacred Heart - Milan. He was a consultant for Prometeia.

Helen Chiappini, Ph.D., is a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Banking and Finance at the Department of Management and Business Administration, G. d’Annunzio University.

She is also the Editor of the Subseries “Palgrave Studies in Green Finance” (Palgrave Macmillan) and a member of the Scientific Committee of Social Impact Agenda per l’Italia. Her research interests are related to sustainable and impact finance, non-performing loans, and corporate governance. Previously, she served as a consultant and researcher for several national and international organizations.
