At this seminar, we wish to explore the present and future of research in Outdoor Education and to imagine together new pathways responding to the challenges of the world in which we live.
Collaboration, dialogue and the opening of connections at an international level are crucial elements in the development of quality research and to generate real impacts in our communities for children, teenagers and adults.

The New Paths in EO Research seminar aims to be an interactive and sharing-based event, situared within the context of the 2025 EOE Network conference. The EOE conference is focused on Outdoor learning where we live: exploring place-based education and urban adventures.

The seminar aims to promote spaces for discussion on objectives, contexts, approaches and methodologies of OE research. We are seeking to promote awareness and open perspectives and to generate a critical vision Of OE research.

The seminar is aimed at PhD researchers, undergraduate/postgraduate students and professional practitioners interested and involved in research in the Outdoors.
The coordination and facilitation of the workshop will be curated by senior international academics from the EOE network and the University of Bologna, who are co-organizers of the event.

Young students and PhD students, as well as young researchers, are warmly invited to take part, bringing their own contributions and vision.
