The Italian Photochemistry Meeting 2026 (IPM2026), organized by the Italian Group of Photochemistry (GIF) and the Interdivisional Group of Photochemistry of the Italian Chemical Society (GIdF), will be held in Bologna from the 10th to the 12th of June 2026.
This year, the IPM2026 will also celebrate the 50th anniversary of the GIF.
The conference will highlight recent developments in photochemistry and related fields, covering a broad range of scientific topics, including artificial photosynthesis, supramolecular photochemistry, photoactive nanomaterials, photocatalysis, molecular devices and machines, computational methods, optical sensing and imaging, and biomedical and environmental applications of photochemistry.
The scientific program will include:
- Four plenary lectures delivered by:
- Prof. Phil Castellano (The North Carolina State University)
- Prof. Jorge Parola (NOVA University Lisbon)
- Prof. Nathalie Katsonis (University of Groningen)
- Prof. Annamaria Petrozza (IIT, Milan)
- Eight keynote lectures, including:
- one keynote from the recipient of the “Franco Scandola” GIF Young Investigator Award 2025
- one keynote from the recipient of the “Ugo Mazzucato” Award 2025
