Japan-Italy Workshop on Sustainable Chemistry (JIWSC) 

VIII Workshop on Radical and Electron Transfer Reactions (RETR-8)

A two-day international workshop centered on sustainable chemistry from a multidisciplinary perspective, including catalysis, photochemistry, organic chemistry and material science. The workshop will bring together professors, researchers, and early-career Japanese and Italian scientists (PhD students and postdocs) from Japanese esteemed Universities and the University of Bologna (specifically the "Toso Montanari" and "Giacomo Ciamician" Departments). The event is organized and hosted by these departments in collaboration with the C3 – Center for Chemical Catalysis, and also supported by CREST (Japan Science and Technology Agency) & ENI.

PROGRAM
The scientific program involves the following, distributed over two day:

2 Keynote Lectures (40 minutes each)
25 Oral Communications (20 minutes each)
5 Short Oral Presentations (5 minutes each)
2 Poster session (ca. 20 Poster each)

The social program involves lunches, coffe breaks, 2 social dinners and on the second day a guided tour for the Japanese Delegation in the facilities of the "Toso Montanari" and "Giacomo Ciamician"  departments, as well as to the Rectorate and Palazzo Poggi Museum in the city centre.

VENUE
The congress venue is the Lecture Hall N "Toso Montanari", located in the UE4 building of the new Navile Headquarters of the Industrial Chemistry and Chemistry Departments of Bologna University, Via Piero Gobetti 85, 40129, Bologna (BO).

The Navile Headquarters are a 25-minutes walk to the city centre and well connected by urban transport.

ABSTRACTS AND REGISTRATIONS
Registration is required by all partecipants to ensure a smooth proceeding of the workshop. A short abstract will also be required by all partecipants giving an Oral presentation or a Poster presentation in order to better organize the different sections and realize a Book of Abstract.

PAYMENT METHOD = CREDIT CARD

The registration fee for Oral presentations includes:

• coffe breaks
• 2 lunches
• transportation to the city center
• 2 social dinners

The registration for Poster and Viewer includes:

• coffe breaks
• possibility to partecipate to the social dinner on 11 September by paying a 50 € fee (20 places available)

DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS

Oral and Poster presenters must prepare a short abstract using the JIWSC Abstract Template (top right of the home page, documents section), which will be required to complete the registration.
