Bologna is located at an important Italian road and rail crossroad and can be also easily reached by flight as it has an international airport.


> By Car or Bus: the city is easily accessible via the highway that connects it to Milan, Venice and Rome. There are a number of paid guarded car parks around the city centre, while free parking on the street is limited, although possible. Please note: traffic in the historic centre is restricted and sanctioned by surveillance cameras.

> By Train: the city is well connected by high-speed train lines to the main cities in the area, among which: Turin, Milan, Venice, Florence, Rome and Naples. Connections from abroad are guaranteed with a change in Milan or Venice from France, Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

> By Flight: directly at Bologna airport "G. Marconi" from where you can reach the train station in 7 minutes via an automated shuttle (Marconi Express). Alternatively, arrive at the airport of Milan "Malpensa", Venice "Marco Polo" or Rome "Fiumicino" from where you can take a fast train to Bologna (around 1.30 hours for Milan and Venice, a bit more from Rome).
