Il 23 aprile 2023 Reinhart Koselleck avrebbe compiuto 100 anni.
Nel suo lavoro di storico, si è occupato di alcuni concetti fondamentali del linguaggio politico della modernità, tra i quali crisi e sovranità, studiando la loro evoluzione semantica. Si tratta di concetti che sembrano essere irrinunciabili anche per la comprensione dell’attualità politica e, in particolare, della condizione dell’Europa nello spazio globale.
Il convegno indaga la triade concettuale crisi, sovranità ed Europa attraverso un confronto tra diverse discipline: la storia contemporanea, la storiografia del pensiero filosofico e politico, la filosofia politica e la politologia. Sulle orme di Koselleck, tenuto anche conto dell’impatto della pandemia sugli aspetti caratterizzanti le culture politiche italiana e tedesca, ci si interrogherà sul cambiamento di significato dei tre concetti e sulla loro attinenza alla descrizione dei fenomeni di un presente in profondo mutamento.
Il convegno è concepito e realizzato per celebrare il centesimo anniversario della nascita di Reinhart Koselleck da una collaborazione tra il Dipartimento delle Arti dell’Università di Bologna e il Centro Italo-tedesco per il Dialogo Europeo Villa Vigoni ed è cofinanziato dal Ministero dell'Istruzione e della Ricerca tedesco (BMBF) nell’ambito del progetto “Impact” e dal DAMSLab.

Den 23. April 2023 wäre Reinhart Koselleck 100 Jahre alt geworden.
Reinhart Koselleck hat sich mit der Geschichte zentraler Grundbegriffe der politischen Semantik der Moderne befasst, darunter mit dem Bedeutungswandel von Krise und Souveränität. Es sind Begriffe, die auch zum Verständnis der politischen Gegenwart und insbesondere der Situation Europas in der globalen Welt unverzichtbar scheinen.
Das Kolloquium untersucht die drei Kernbegriffe Krise, Souveränität und Europa. Historiker:innen des politischen Denkens sowie politische Philosoph:innen und Politolog:innen nehmen an dem Gespräch teil. Gefragt wird auf Kosellecks Spuren nach dem Bedeutungswandel der drei genannten Konzepte (nicht zuletzt angesichts des Impacts der Pandemie auf die programmatischen Leitmotive der italienischen und der deutschen politischen Kulturen) und nach ihrer Angemessenheit zur Beschreibung von Phänomenen der fluiden Gegenwart.
Das Kolloquium wird anlässlich des 100. Geburtstages von Reinhart Koselleck in Zusammenarbeit zwischen dem Institut für Kunst der Universität Bologna und dem Deutsch-Italienischen Zentrum für den Europäischen Dialog Villa Vigoni konzipiert und organisiert. DAMSLab und das Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (im Rahmen des Projekts „Impact“) sind an der Finanzierung beteiligt.

On 23 April 2023 Reinhart Koselleck would have turned one hundred years old.
Reinhart Koselleck dealt with the history of basic concepts central to the political semantics of modernity, including crisis and sovereignty, as well as their change in meaning. These are concepts that also seem indispensable for understanding the political present and especially the situation of Europe in the world.
The colloquium will examine the three core concepts of crisis, sovereignty and Europe. Historians of political thought as well as political philosophers and political scientists will take part in the discussion. Following in Koselleck's footsteps, the discussion will examine how the meaning of the three concepts has changed (not least in view of the impact of the pandemic on the programmatic leitmotifs of Italian and German political cultures) and whether they are appropriate for describing phenomena of the ever-changing present.
The colloquium has been conceived and organised to celebrate the centenary of Reinhart Koselleck’s birth, and is a joint venture between the Department of the Arts (University of Bologna) and the German-Italian Centre for the European Dialogue Villa Vigoni. DASMSLab and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (as part of the "Impact" project) are involved in the funding.
