Prospective authors are invited to submit original contributions (contributed papers and/or invited track/session proposals) dealing with control of complex systems in the following areas:  

Adaptive and Learning Systems; Computers for Control; Control Design; Control Education; Developing Countries; Discrete Event Dynamic Systems; Distributed Parameter Systems; Economic and Business Systems; Enterprise Integration and Networking; Human Machine Systems; Intelligent Autonomous Vehicles; Large Scale Complex Systems; Linear Control Systems; Manufacturing Modelling for Management and Control; Manufacturing Plant Control; Modelling and Control of Biomedical Systems; Modelling and Control of Environmental Systems; Modelling, Identification and Signal Processing; Networked Systems; Non Linear Control Systems; Optimal Control; Power and Energy Systems; Robust Control; Safeprocess; Stochastic Systems.

 

Submission Types and Formats

Submissions are solicited in the form of contributed papers and invited tracks/sessions (with related invited papers)The submissions should be written in English, formatted according to IFAC templates and style files (double-column A4 IFAC format). The IFAC author guide is available at Author Guide — IFAC · International Federation of Automatic Control (ifac-control.org)

  • Contributed papers: For review purposes, original manuscripts of up to eight pages in double-column A4 IFAC format are accepted. Final manuscripts are limited to six pages. Final manuscripts should be in compliant pdf format and limited to 5 MB in size.
  • Invited track/session proposals: For review purposes, invited track/session proposals of up to two pages in double-column A4 IFAC format are accepted. An invited track/session proposal should describe motivation, state-of-the-art, topics and future perspective of the subject dealt with. The proposal should also include the title and the short abstract of each invited contributions (up to six). Upon submission of the proposal, the track/session organizers should provide the authors of the invited papers with the reference number of the track/session proposal. The authors of the invited papers are responsible for submitting their contributions by the indicated deadline. For review purposes, invited papers of up to eight pages in double-column A4  IFAC format are accepted. Final manuscripts are limited to six pages. Final manuscripts should be in compliant pdf format and limited to 5 MB in size.

Submission, Registration and Publication Policy

By submitting their contributions, Authors accept to abide by the conference submission, registration and publication policy. 

  • Review. All submissions will be subject to a review process and will be selected for inclusion in the workshop program on the basis of the referees' report and the International Program Committee's assessment. 
  • Author registration. At the time of the final submission, at least one author should register to the workshop. The regular registration allows up to two (authored/coauthored) papers to be uploaded. Student registration allows one (authored/co-authored) paper to be uploaded. Additional papers, up to two per registered author, can be uploaded at additional cost (see the Registration Policy).
  • Paper presentation. At least one author should attend the conference and present the accepted paper. Each presenting author is responsible for his/her registration fee as well as travel and accomodation costs.
  • Publication: Contributed papers and invited papers presented at the workshop will be published in the open-access IFAC-PapersOnLine series hosted on ScienceDirect (https://sciencedirect.com/).

IFAC Publication Policy and Copyright Conditions

"All publication material submitted for presentation at an IFAC-sponsored meeting (Congress, Symposium, Conference, Workshop) must be original and hence cannot be already published, nor can it be under review elsewhere. The authors take responsibility for the material that has been submitted. IFAC-sponsored conferences will abide by the highest standard of ethical behavior in the review process as explained on the Elsevier webpage (https://www.elsevier.com/authors/journal-authors/policies-and-ethics), and the authors will abide by the IFAC publication ethics guidelines (https://www.ifac-control.org/events/organizersguide/PublicationEthicsGuidelines.pdf/view).

Accepted papers that have been presented at an IFAC meeting will be published in the proceedings of the
event using the open-access IFAC-PapersOnLine series hosted on ScienceDirect (https://sciencedirect.com/).
To this end, the author(s) must grant exclusive publishing rights to IFAC under a Creative Commons license
when they submit the final version of the paper. The copyright belongs to the authors, who have the right to
share the paper in the same terms allowed by the end user license, and retain all patent, trademark and other
intellectual property rights (including research data)."
