IFAC Young Author Award

Announcement

 

The Organizing Committee of the 1st IFAC Workshop on Control of Complex Systems, COSY 2022, is pleased to announce the IFAC Young Author Award at COSY 2022. 

The IFAC Young Author Award at COSY 2022 is awarded for the best paper of which the first and presenting author is the main contributor of the research results in the paper and satisfies the eligibility criterion: namely, he/she has the Student status at the time of the final paper submission. The paper must be accepted for inclusion in COSY 2022 program and must be presented on site by the nominee.

 

Nomination Procedure

No self-nomination are allowed. Nominations are typically made by supervisors and must

  1. certify that the nominee is the main author of the paper;
  2. certify that the nominee has the Student status at the time of COSY 2022 deadline for final paper submission;
  3. provide a brief description of the contribution of the paper;
  4. motivate the nomination for the award;
  5. provide the nominator’s contact information.

Nominations are limited to one paper per nominator.

Nominations must be made via COSY 2022 submission wizard at Submission wizard (papercept.net): Young Author Award Nominations is open until October 15, 2022. The information requested above should be organized and presented in a two-page double-column document in pdf format to be uploaded through the Nomination submission site.

 

Selection Procedure

An awards selection committee, appointed by the IPC Chair, selects a number of finalists on the basis of the nomination letters, the review reports, and the papers. Finalists are informed before the event. The selection committee selects the winner out of the finalists, after having attended the presentation of all the finalist papers at the event. 

 

Presentation of the Award

The award will be announced and presented by the General Chair at the workshop closing session. The award recipient will receive the IFAC COSY 2022 YAA certificate and a nice gift from the Conference Organizers.
