In a period of crisis and chaos, due to the covid pandemic and the international situation, the XXII ICMMB, initially scheduled in Moscow, will be held in Bologna from 19 to 21 September 2022.
The University of Bologna is the oldest in the world and the choice to meet in Bologna has a strong symbolic value, considering that here, in 1988, the Magna Charta Universitatum was signed which establishes the principles of academic freedom, institutional autonomy and hope for collaboration among researchers all over the world.
The conference topics include issues related to physics and engineering applied to medicine and biology, in particular locomotion and musculoskeletal biomechanics, joints and implants, tissue and cell/molecular processes, modeling of cardiovascular and neurological systems, mechanics of biological fluids, as well as innovative imaging techniques, dosimetry, computational biology and bioinformatics, development of new biomaterials, bioprinting and bioproduction.
We look forward to see you in Bologna,
Ivan Corazza, Marat Dosaev, Fong-Chin Su
