Some useful information to organize your stay in Bologna.
How to reach the conference venue
The fastest way to reach the conference venue in via Cartoleria 5 is to take the minibus "NAVETTA C" from the Central Railway Station. Get off at the stop "Cartoleria". The cost of a one-way ticket is 1.50€ (2€ if purchased on board. The machine does NOT give change).
The Department is conveniently located in the city center, just a few minutes of pleasant walk from the main square (Piazza Maggiore).

From/to Bologna's airport "Guglielmo Marconi"
Taxi. Two taxi companies work from and to the airport: Cotabo and Cat Radio Taxi. The average cost of a ride from the airport to the central station, without supplements, is around 20€.
Car hire. Car hire companies are located at the Terminal on the ground floor of the airport.
BUS 944. 944 is a shuttle bus service connecting Bologna's airport to the city centre and the railway station. It runs daily every 20 minutes, making it the most convenient means of transport. Fares: one-way ticket from/to the Airport 4.00€. Please note that the 944 Aerobus ticket can also be used on all public transport in Bologna's urban area within its 75 minutes of validity, marking it each time you board.
Marconi Express - People Mover. Monorail service "Marconi Express" runs daily every 15 minutes and reaches the Central railway station in just 7 minutes. Trains are electric and have no steps or other obstacles. 30% of their power comes from solar panels, making this the greener, more sustainable transport alternative. Stations are equipped with free Wi-Fi. A standard ticket costs 11€. Options available.
