About WEW & the Bilateral Pojects
WEW will take place in the Campus of Rimini and the Campus of Ravenna of the University of Bologna, where the Technopoles of Rimini and Ravenna are located:
This WEW Meeting will represent an opportunity to report and discuss about the ongoing bilateral projects between Italy and China, and Italy and South Africa , in an international context

The Italy-China GREENHYDCM project aims were the co-production of green hydrogen and carbon materials with high electrochemical performance through molten-salt assisted pyrolysis of biomass. The project is coordinated by the University of Bologna (Daniele Fabbri) and the Zhejiang University (Shurong Wang) in collaboration with the University of Perugia (Francesco Fantozzi) and the Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Haiping Yang). https://www.greenhydcm.com/

The Italy-South Africa RELY project aims to develop new technological solutions to reduce costs and minimize the environmental and economic impact of the disassembly and recycling of Lithium-ion battery cells, aiming at the valorization of recovered critical metals (CRM) by transforming them into materials for high energy supercapacitors, through a holistic approach of circular economy. The project is coordinated by the University of Bologna (Francesca Soavi) and the University of Pretoria (Ncholy Manyala) in collaboration with the University of Venda (Joseph Kirui). https://site.unibo.it/rely/en
