Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport (BLQ) is conveniently located approximately 6 km from the city center, offering several efficient transportation options.

Marconi Express (Monorail)

The Marconi Express is a fast and eco-friendly elevated monorail connecting the airport directly to Bologna Centrale railway station. It takes approximately 7 minutes from the airport to the train stations and operates  from 05:40 to 24:00. The tickets are available for purchase on the Marconi Express website or on the Roger app.

This service provides a quick and comfortable ride, with the entire route sheltered from the elements.

Bus Services

• Bus Line 944 (website): Operates from 04:00 to 02:00, connecting the airport to Ospedale Maggiore during the day and to Bologna Centrale railway station at night. The journey takes about 15 minutes .
• Marconi Express 949: A 100% electric bus service running from 05:40 to 24:00, linking the airport directly to Piazza Malpighi in the city center without intermediate stops .
