Bologna is one of Europe's oldest university cities and home to the University of Bologna, founded in 1088. The city combines a rich medieval heritage, UNESCO-listed porticoes, excellent food culture, and a vibrant international atmosphere. Walking to San Luca

One of Bologna’s most iconic walks starts at Porta Saragozza and follows approximately 3.8 km of covered porticoes to the Sanctuary of the Madonna di San Luca. The route climbs roughly 200 metres and typically takes 45–60 minutes.

Local specialties include tortellini, tagliatelle al ragù, mortadella, crescentine and tigelle.

Getting Around Bologna

Public transportation is operated by TPER. The Roger App allows users to purchase tickets, plan routes and obtain real-time information. Taxis can be booked through the BTaxi app.

Private transfers are available via Uber app.

Bus tickets and Marconi Express Tickets (Airport railway) are purchasable with contactless systems onboard, too.

Conference Transportation

Organized transportation will be available from the city centre (Piazza Cavour) to Bologna Business School before the morning sessions and from BBS back to the city centre (Piazza Cavour) after the end of the sessions.

Internet Access

Eduroam is available throughout the venue.

For those without Eduroam access, or in case of malfunctioning, guests’ credentials for Alma-Wifi (University) network are available at the conference venue upon request.
