Before the EARA 2028 Conference, we are delighted to host the 2028 EADP-EARA-SRA Summer School, taking place from 1–5 September 2028 at the Centro Residenziale Universitario di Bertinoro, a fairy-tale venue located in the charming hilltop town of Bertinoro.
Known as the "Balcony of Romagna" for its breathtaking panoramic views, Bertinoro is a medieval village surrounded by rolling vineyards, olive groves, and green countryside. For centuries, it has been a symbol of hospitality, a tradition celebrated through the famous Column of Hospitality (Colonna delle Anella), built in 1247, where travelers tied their horses to one of 12 rings and were welcomed by the family assigned to that ring.
The 2028 EADP-EARA-SRA Summer School will offer an inspiring environment where early-career researchers can engage in scientific discussions, methodological workshops, and networking activities while enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of one of Italy's most picturesque villages.
Beyond the academic programme, participants will have the opportunity to experience the best of Emilia-Romagna through a rich social programme. Evenings will include opportunities to explore the local area, enjoy outdoor activities surrounded by nature, discover the region's history and culture, and taste the outstanding local cuisine and wines that have made Emilia-Romagna famous worldwide.
The combination of high-quality scientific training, informal interactions with international scholars, and the unique setting of Bertinoro will make the Summer School an unforgettable start to EARA 2028.
