He is Associate Professor in Classical Philology at Aarhus University.
His research focuses on the application of cognitive, linguistic, and narratological approaches to ancient Greek literature. He is also interested in interdisciplinary research and experimental studies of responses to literature and drama. Among his publications are Language and Character in Euripides’ Electra (Oxford UP 2017), Characterization in Ancient Greek Literature (Brill 2018, co-edited with Koen De Temmerman), and The Cambridge Grammar of Classical Greek (Cambridge UP 2019)
