Daniele Fanelli
Professor in Social Research Methods, Heriot-Watt University
He is Assistant Professor in Social Research Methods at Heriot-Watt University and visiting Fellow in Quantitative Methodology at the London School of Economics. He has published numerous influential studies assessing the prevalence and causes of research misconduct and bias, and has proposed novel methodologies to forecast and quantify scientific progress and the level of scientific consensus. He is also member of the Committee for Ethics and Bioethics of Italy's CNR and of the Luxembourg Agency for Research Integrity, for which he advises and investigates allegations of research misconduct, and is the founder of comCensus, a startup that aims to facilitate collective intelligence.
