Clara Giardina
Research Fellow, Università di Bologna
Research Fellow and Adjunct Professor at University of Bologna, the focus of her research is smart, innovative and sustainable Packaging Design. Designer Freelance with a special focus on eco-design, design thinking and education as means to create social innovation and sustainable behaviours. Toy designer for Assogiocattoli, she runs design workshops with a design thinking approach. Senior Educator and Tutor - with Paco Collaborative for Opificio Golinelli and Unindustria Bologna - she helps bringing Design Approach in middle school, in order to develop entrepreneurial thinking. She is part of ilVespaio, a professional network that works on eco-design and sustainability topics.
Silvia Barbero
Associate professor, Politecnico di Torino
PhD, is Associate Professor in Ecodesign at Politecnico di Torino. Her research mainly focuses on Systemic Design. She is the scientific coordinator of RETRACE project (Interreg Europe) on the development of local and regional policies to move towards a circular economy and other H2020 projects, like proGIreg. She has been coordinator also regional project and team leader of international project. She is the author of some books on sustainable design, furthermore she wrote more than 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters and reviewed international conference proceedings. She is teaching “Open Systems” at the Systemic Design Master Degree since a.y. 2017-2018; “Product Environmental Requirements” at Design and Visual Communication degree since a.y. 2007-2008; and “Systemic Design” at doctoral course in Management, production and Design. She is responsible for the stage&job design curriculum.
Erik Ciravegna
Adjunct Professor, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile
Ph.D. in Design (DIeCM) from Politecnico di Milano. Currently, he is professor at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. His academic and professional work deals with communication design, focusing on packaging design, identity systems, and the narrative and symbolic qualities of products and brands. Also, he has a strong interest in ethics and the social responsibility of designers. He works in basic and applied research projects, in cooperation with companies, institutions, associations, and consortia. He participated in the project of http://www.packagingdesignarchive.org. He is author and editor of technical-scientific publications; he is invited to give lectures and workshops on packaging design topics. Lastly, he works on methods and tools for creativity, in support of teaching and training activities, as well as project development. He created the DesignDrama methodology, combining theatre techniques with design methods.
Franco Fassio

Franco Fassio is a Systemic Designer, Researcher at the University of Gastronomic Science of Pollenzo (UNISG), Delegate for University Sustainability Policies (RUS and AsviS) and for Relations with Companies (UNISG Network), member of the permanent Design ADI Observatory (Food Design). PhD in Design Culture (Polytechnic of Turin), he is professor of Gastronomic Design Science, EcoDesign and Food Packaging, Systemic Design and he is specialised in the development of research projects for Circular Economy for Food.
